Day One: Arrival in Istanbul

Welcome to Turkey! It’s a great pleasure to be with you for 2023 Anzac Day Commomerations. When you arrive Istanbul Airport you will have 2 option to arrive your hotel. First option is using our airport transfer service which isn’t include to this tour. Second option is get a taxi to your hotel. Keep in mind we will notify you about accommodation info before your arrival flight. After you check in to your hotel you have spare time to rest before your Anzac Day journey or you can explore Istanbul own by own. In the evening your professional tour guide will contact you about tour information and met. If you have any question about your tour schedule or anything don’t hesitate to ask your tour guide.

Day Two: Istanbul City Tour

After flight tiredness you will have relaxing sleep in your room and you say goodmorning to beautiful Istanbul morning. Today you will have amazing Istanbul tour. It will cover all day long. You will have chance to explore Hagia Sophia, Blue Mosque,Hippodrome, German Fountain of Wilhelm II, Serpentine Column, Obellisk of Theodosius. After visiting this area you may want to explore Istanbul or you can attend our optional Bosphorus Cruise and Gala Evening.

Day Three:  Istanbul to Gallipoli – Guided Tour of Gallipoli

Today we start to day early in the morning with breakfast then we will on the way for WWI Battlefield of Gallipoli. Also on the road there will be little break for lunch. While you are on the way your tour guide will explain about this areas’ importation and also he will show you some movies and documentaries about it. Afternoon you will visit many places like Kabatepe War Museum, Anzac Cove, Hell Spit Cemetery, Lone Pine, the Nek and the Chunuk Bair War Memorial. We choose this areas because best time to explore is before the Anzac Commomeration Day because it will be less crowded.

Day Four:  Relax and Prepare for Anzac Day at Gallipoli

Sleep as much as you need but don’t forget to make breakfast. This resort has plenty of activities you may want to try. Bathing in the waters of the of the outdoor pool, relaxing at the beach, playing sports like footbal, volleybal, basketball or just hang around. Make sure you won’t get to much tired because you will need a lot energy during the Anzac Day. A buffet dinner will be served so you can fill up before departing for Gallipoli late afternoon.

We arrive at Anzac Cove to ensure we get a good spot for the dawn service. Don’t forget your sleeping bags, warm clothes, wet weather gear and torches because Gallipoli is still as dark and cold tonight as it was 107 years ago when your ancestors landed.

Day Five:  ANZAC Day (Gallipoli to Edremit)

At first light the day begins with the Dawn Service held at the ANZAC Commemorative Site, which will be followed by the Australian and New Zealand memorial services held at Lone Pine and Chunuk Bair respectively. Today is the reason you came to Turkey, to commemorate the sacrifice your forefathers have made. Emotions run high and this evening you will travel back to your hotel in Edremit, arriving there in the late evening.

Day Six: Edremit to Kusadasi via Bergama

After relaxing sleeping you will wake up recharged. After breakfast you will depart for Bergama where your guide will show you around the Ancient Medical Center Asclepion in Pergamum. This center is one of the oldest all around the world. There will be time for a lunch break before we continue on the way to the seaside town of Kusadasi. As this area boasts a reputation as one of the most important carpet weaving regions we will stop at Selçuk for a demonstration of this ancient and traditional craft. After you have checked in to your Kusadasi hotel you may have an optional traditional Turkish bath to be washed and massaged by a pair of expert hands and the rest of the day is yours to relax. Enjoy a Traditional Turkish Bath, relax on the ‘Belly Stone’ and be washed and massaged by expert hands.

Day Seven:  Visit to Ephesus Ruins & Village Of Sirince
Today you will have big opportunity to visit one of the famous ruins in the world “Ephesus”. Ephesus ruins, Odeon, Temple of Artemis, Celcus Library, Theatetre, Sirince Village are the places you will visit today. Sirince village is famous with their traditional Turkish houses and wine. After visit this places we will stop near Selcuk for shopping facilities and textile factory which this production is very famous in this region. After the tour, we will stop at Selçuk for a fashion parade and information on Turkey’s famous leather production. This evening we will return to Istanbul overnight.

Day Eight: End of Tour

You will arrive in Istanbul early in the morning and the tour will finish in the Sultanahmet area which has easy connections to the Bus Station and Airport or accommodation options if you wish to extend your stay in Istanbul. Question: My friends have already booked for 2023 Anzac Day Tours with you and I would now like to be with them. Is this possible?

Answer: If you provide your demand as soon as possible then we will do our best to accommodate you. However if you make a booking close to Anzac Day then we may have already allocated hotels and bus groups. Once again we will do our best to accommodate you but we cannot make any promises but please ask so we can check it out for you.

Question: Do the prices quoted include Entrance Fees to sites visited and is their any local payment component for these tours?
Answer: There is no local payment that needs to be paid unless outlined in the itineraries.
Question: What time do I need to arrive on the starting day of my tour?

Answer: Except “2 Day Anzac Day Tour” all of our tours’ first day arrival day and its for relaxing from your tiredful flight.
Q. I am booked your 2 Day Anzac Tour and want to know where the pick up and drop off points are in Istanbul.
A. The 2 Day Anzac Tour starts on the 24th April and all customers will informed about meeting time and exact point before their flight therefore you don’t need to worry about it.
Q: I am travelling alone and was wondering if you have many people who travel alone on your tours? Also what are my options for accommodation?
A: Every year we have many guest (both male and female) travel alone on our Anzac Day tours and it is a great way to meet new people. If you want you can stay single room but it will cost extra but if its not problem to share your room (same gender) it will be lower rate.Please note that this is subject to availability.
Q. How many people will be on my tour?
A. It depends on the number of people on your particular tour but a group will be no larger than 40 people.
Q: Which currency do I need for Turkey and do I need to Exchange Money before leaving home?
A. The most common currency in Turkey is the TL (Turkish Lira) although other currencies are accepted in some shops and restaurants. We recommend for ease that you use the local currency when paying in cash but you can purchase many things on credit cards also. We advise all our passengers to carry some cash on them at all times for small purchases and paying for public toilets etc. You may like to check with your bank before leaving home if your card is ready for international use.
Q. Do we need to give our guides and driver a tip at the end of the tour?
A. Tipping isn’t included to tour payment but its a big part of life in Turkey and the cost of your tour does not include any tips or displays of gratitude towards guides and coach drivers. If you have enjoyed your tour and the efforts of these people then please feel free to give them a tip. The amount is entirely up to you and usually one person will collect these on behalf of the people in your group.
Q. I want airport transfer service can you arrange for me?
A. If you let us know earlier your request we will happy to help you about your arrival and departure transfer services. 1-4 people one way service price is 75$ and 4-8 people is 100$.
Q. How to prepare to attend Anzac Day Commomeration?
A. PLEASE BRING:

* Comfortable, sturdy walking shoes
* Warm, thermal clothing, jacket, beanie, hat or cap, gloves, scarf
* Food / snacks

* A small day pack may be useful to carry these items.
